Communication on the plane crash of a JAK-40, 13 January 2004,
Flight No. 1154 on the route "Tashkent-Termez - Tashkent"
On 13 January 2004, at 19.27 clock is an aircraft of type JAK-40 on flight No. 1154 crashed on the track Termez - Tashkent during the landing approach in the area of the airport of Tashkent city.
When acting on landing at the airport "TASHKENT" the airplane landing gear for unknown reasons, at 19.27 clock does not affect the runway and the plane crashed into two meters height with the manufactured concrete fence of the airport area, after it had fallen into the canal Kara-Su which runs through the territory of the complex Jangiobod, the Municipality of Tashkent Mirabad. Following the collision the plane caught fire.

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan I.á. Karimov was at the accident, made themselves familiar with the situation and gave instructions for immediate action to eliminate the effects of the disaster and provide the necessary assistance for the families of the victims.
On this occasion, the President of the country, a government commission convened under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, SM Mirzijaev to objectively identify and determine the causes of the plane crash.

Among the dead were 32 men, 4 women and a toddler. Among the passengers were 4 foreign citizens - 2 people of Afghanistan, a citizen of Great Britain and Australia as well as a citizen of Canada.
